Objective and Statement
The Objective of the I want to Become Statement: This assignment is designed to be an elaboration of the I am Statement. This means that in this assignment I identified how I want to continue to grow as an honors college student, and want I aspire to be in my professional and personal life.
I want to Become Statement Artifact: My aspirations in life can be encompassed into three different categories. I want to work on myself to achieve my goals and grow as a person. I am currently a sophomore first-year student who is majoring in biology. Despite this statement being true, it does not reflect what I want to become. My ultimate career goal is to become a physician. This is because of several reasons. The major one is that I have grown up with the principle that the most fulfilling thing to do is to give back to humanity. Medicine allows me to do that as I will give people the care they need. This goal needs determination. This is something that I currently have, but it needs a lot of growth. The track to becoming a medical doctor is very long and tedious. This path needs a great deal of motivation. One value that I want to continue to grow is to be available to other people. This is something that I have been really good at in the professional field as I have had multiple leadership positions that allow me to help others. However, I tend to struggle in this area outside of any job-like environment. I find myself saying that I am busy to offer help and volunteer. In the coming time, I hope to enrich this value for my long-term goals. As a person, I want to grow to be thankful to other people that have played a major role in developing the person that I am today. I have been taught that the best way to live a fulfilling life is to thank the people that have done positive things for you. This is something that I want to continue.

Reflection of the assignment: This assignment was very interesting because it made me think of my goals and aspirations from multiple perspectives. Usually, when a person asked me what I wanted to become I would say a physician. This assignment made me realize that there are more goals to achieve than just a professional one. As a result, I had to think of my values and personal goals when coming up with this assignment.
The Growth from the Assignment: This assignment made me learn why I was entering the professional career that I am planning on going into. There are many reasons why people become doctors. However, I learned from this assignment that my true purpose in becoming a physician is to serve humanity and provide medical treatment to the people that need it.
